We opened because German Village deserved a place that takes food seriously — without the pretense.
Ciao Cafe sits on Thurman Avenue in the heart of German Village, a neighborhood that values tradition, craftsmanship, and community. We built this space around a simple idea: serve food the way your grandmother would approve of, and do it every single day.
Our bakery produces bread and pastries in-house from scratch. Our grocery section features locally sourced and carefully imported goods. Our coffee program is built on relationships with roasters who share our standards. We don't cut corners because we know our neighbors will notice.
